In response to the infrastructure construction industry's needs, Tandemloc has designed, manufactured, and stocked concrete barrier grabs. The concrete barrier grab is designed to lift concrete barriers like the one shown here. Our barrier grabs are available with either an 8,250 or 16,500 pound working load limit.

Both models are designed to handle barriers with a top surface of 6-12 inches. These dimensions include the standard jersey barrier and the less common California and Texas barriers, along with barriers that have a type F profile. A significant benefit with our barrier grab is that it includes the Tandemloc auto latch. This auto latch mechanism allows remote operation by one worker if needed. The auto latch is in the engaged position and as it starts to rest on the barrier, it rotates, disengaging the barrier grab arms.

Once the auto latch is disengaged, the barrier grab can be raised and it will grip the barrier so that it can be lifted and moved. The reverse of this operation will engage the auto latch for moving around your site or storing it is best to engage the auto latch. We also offer optional right and left handed positioning handles, giving operators the ability to keep their hands and fingers away from the potential pinch points during use.

Another option Tandemloc offers with the barrier grab is the positioning guide. This guide provides the barrier grab with easier positioning when lowering the barrier grab into position and interfacing with the barriers.

We designed and built barrier grabs to be used at high volume in rugged environments. They are designed to BTH -1, category B and service class 3. Not only are the barrier grabs designed for high volume rugged environments, we also made sure 125% proof test and operational testing is complete before shipment.
