SPREADER BEAM

Tandemloc offers both fixed spreader beams and adjustable spreader beams to fit a wide variety of applications. A spreader beam, also referred to as a crane spreader bar, converts lifting of the load into compressive force on the beam and tensile force on the slings.

In its basic form, a spreader beam is a device that holds two slings equally apart. This applies the compressive load into the spreader beam, keeping that type of loading off the lifted object. The crane spreader bar is ideal for wide or heavy loads and can help reduce the risk of the load tipping, sliding, or bending.

The AT14 series includes adjustable spreader beams that come in a wide variety of minimum and maximum lengths in convenient increments of just a few inches. The beams also come in a wide range of working load limits, from 2,000 pounds (907 kilos) all the way up to 100,000 pounds (45,359 kilos). Our fixed-length Spreader Beam can accommodate the same variety of load capacities and can be built to cover any spread up to 40 feet (12.2 meters).
