Tandemloc provides container casters for use with containers that incorporate ISO 1161 corner fittings. These container casters allow ISO containers or custom containers with ISO 1161 corner fittings to be mobilized and moved over multiple surfaces.

All Tandemloc container casters are provided with the ability to have a rigid connection between the container and container caster. This feature is made possible because of Tandemloc's caster lock. The caster lock has an adjusting stud that, when tightened, provides a rigid connection. Tightening must be done before lowering the container. The urethane and iron wheels are meant to be used on improved surfaces like smooth concrete and asphalt. Unapproved surfaces can damage the urethane wheels.

For unapproved surfaces, we provide container casters with pneumatic wheels. This design allows the container to be moved over surfaces that are comprised of gravel, broken concrete or asphalt, and packed dirt. The max speed allowed for use with the container casters is 5 miles per hour. This speed is max for both the urethane and pneumatic wheels.

All Tandemloc container casters are designed to lock every 90 degrees or swivel freely. When towing a container, it is suggested that one of the rear container casters be locked and the remaining three be allowed to swivel freely. This setup enables the container to travel smoothly behind the tow vehicle without being too rigid or swaying back and forth.
