This is the 12900BA-1PZ Tandemloc horizontal connector and the namesake of our company.

The connector gets its name from being able to connect multiple ISO type containers in tandem. Customers save time and money by locking the containers together and shipping them as one.

A rigid connection is what allows this connector to be used in this type of application because there is no slack between the corner fittings and connector, and there is also no slack between the containers. The clamp arms on the connector clamp down on the inside of the ISO 1161 corner fittings, creating the rigid connection.

One of the great benefits of the Tandemloc connector is the individual tightening action of the clamp arms. This individual tightening of the clamp arms allows the connection to be made first with one container and then to the other container, so there is no need for multiple personnel in locking these connectors into place.

The government and other commercial entities have used the Tandemloc connector for decades. It has also been tested by the government and found to be the best connector available when a horizontal connection is required, gaining full CSC approval.
