Tandemloc's Hydraulic Lift Caster

Video Transcript

Time: 0:00-0:12

The Tandemloc hydraulic lift caster system is compact with the ability to move containers in and out of tight spaces without the use of a crane or forklift.

Time: 0:12-0:23

With a combined capacity of 32,000 pounds, it can move containers across smooth surfaces while lifting the container thirteen and a half inches off the ground.

Time: 0:23-0:29

Because of the smooth and controlled manner in which the lift caster assemblies function, they are ideal for lifting fragile or expensive equipment that is stored in a container.

Time: 0:29-0:36

The installation only takes 20 minutes using two people and 40 minutes for one person to install the hydraulic lift caster system.

Time: 0:36-0:48

At the base of each lift caster assembly is the rotating toe lift lug, which is inserted into either the side or end hole of the corner fitting and locked into place by rotating the toe lug 90 degrees.

Time: 0:48-1:02

Before the container is lifted, the toe lift lug fits loosely into the corner fitting to facilitate ease of installation. As the lift assembly is raised, the lift lug automatically draws back, making an extremely tight connection with the bottom corner fitting.

Time: 1:02-1:06

The tight connection cannot be loosened without removing the lifted load.

Time: 1:06-1:23

Once the toe lift lug is inserted and locked, retract both front casters by pulling their handles outboard. With Tandemloc's updated design, the lock pins no longer have to be manually retracted before raising the lift caster. Instead, the lock pins will automatically draw back as they pass each hole and then reinsert into the next hole. Only when lowering does the lock pin need to be retracted manually. These lock pins are used to prevent shock loads from ever affecting the hydraulic systems.

Time: 1:23-1:48

Engage one swivel lock on the two rearmost wheels furthest from the tow bar so that the wheels are locked in the desired direction. You want to pull the container; the other six wheels should be left free to rotate. The tow bar should be connected, and a tow vehicle must be attached with the brakes engaged prior to lifting the back of the container off the ground. Repeat the same process for the opposite side of the container.

Time: 1:48-2:00

When the container is at full capacity, the max speed of the hydraulic lift caster system when towed is 5 miles per hour. We designed the hydraulic lift caster system to integrate with ISO 1161 corner fittings.

Time: 2:00-2:10

The HR2PA hydraulic lift caster system is stocked and available to ship within 24 hours. If the 32,000 pound capacity of the standard system isn't enough, we also offer a mega duty version with a 70,000 pound capacity.

Time: 2:10-2:24
