Yes. Tandemloc can custom manufacture lifting, securing, or container mobilizing products. Lifting products are designed and built to current ASME B30.20 Below-the-Hook Lifting Standards. Container related products are designed and built to be compatible with ISO standards such as ISO 1496, ISO 1161, ISO 668 and ISO 3874.

Tandemloc product sales drawings may be found online; however, copies of Tandemloc certificates (Proof Test, Certificate of Conformance, Etc.) must be requested either by phone or email.

Tandemloc designs, manufactures, and tests the AT14 spreader beams to the worst case scenario. The worst case scenario for this product is at its maximum span. So, the listed capacity for the specified model is its capacity at max spread.

The main difference between a lift beam and a spreader beam is how they distribute the lifting force and connect to the crane. A lift beam typically has one connection point for the hoist and has anywhere from one to dozens of bottom lift points. Due to their design, lift beams resist bending forces. A spreader beam uses top rigging, usually two leg bridle sling, and is designed for primarily compressive loads. Generally there are two lift points that connect to the load. A spreader beam is often used for wide/long loads since it’s lighter than a lift beam at lengths.

If a product has a paint finish it will be of a marine-environment quality two-component epoxy primer and two-component polyurethane top coat. Specifically: Primer: PPG- Two-component phenalkamine epoxy: Amercoat 235 (AT235-3501) with Amercoat 235 Cure (AT235-B04) {Off White} Top Coat: PPG- Two-component aliphatic polyurethane topcoat: Amercoat 450H (AT45HT3-01) with Amercoat 450 cure (AT45H-B04) {Safety Yellow,etc…} Many of our products are zinc thermal sprayed or hot dipped galvanized. No, the Lift Sleeve does not increase the capacity of your spreader bar and has its own straight pull WLL. This will have to be exactly in the middle of the spreader beam and have its own sling leg. It is recommended to be used with a turnbuckle.

No, it does not need to be seamless.

You will need to use SCHEDULE 80 Pipe for your End Cap spreader beam except when using larger than 10” Pipe, then you would use Schedule 60 or the corresponding sized “Extra Heavy” Pipe with a half inch wall thickness. Schedule 80 pipe refers to the wall thickness which is thicker and stronger than lower grades, making it more suitable for high pressure and demanding conditions. Please reference this chart for confirmation on your pipe requirements. The Grade of pipe has nothing to do with the Schedule.

No, it does not. The pipe sleeve allows you to use two pieces of pipe for your lift and only serves to pass the compression load from end to end.

You are allowed to use the sleeve in any spreader at any point in the spreader beam as long as there is no interference with the End Cap(s). There is only one pipe sleeve allowed for each spreader beam.
