The main product used when stacking containers is the double cone stacking twistlock.

Tandemloc offers two different designs: the AD54000A-1GA and AE10000A-1GA. The AD54000A-1GA twistlock is a three-position twistlock.

The twistlock can be placed or removed from the top of the corner fitting of the lower container when the handle is in the middle position. The handle must be moved to the right position before stacking the top container on the twistlocks, locking the twistlock into the first corner fitting.

After the top container has been stacked and all four corner fittings are in place on the twistlocks, the handles can be moved to the left position, locking the twistlocks into both sets of corner fittings.

The AE10000A-1GA two-position twistlock, as the name states, only has two handle positions: locked and unlocked. When the handle is all the way in the right position, the twistlock is unlocked and able to be inserted into both corner fittings. After stacking the second container, the handle can be moved to the left position, locking it in place.

The AE10000A-1GA has tabs on the bottom cone to help guard against being accidentally dislodged during loading or unloading operations.

Both twistlock designs are meant to be used with ISO 1161 corner fittings. To help combat corrosion, the twistlocks are hot-dip galvanized and have stainless steel internal mechanisms.
