The Tandemloc Autoloc is a semi-automatic spreader frame that is used to interface with the top corner fittings of an ISO container and lift it so that it can be moved.

The Autoloc operates mechanically, and because of this, it is designed to handle the harsh environmental conditions of the intermodal industry. This is the N31000C-1PA Autoloc model, meant for lifting 20-foot ISO containers.

This specific Autoloc spreader has a working load limit of 52,800 pounds. Some of the standard features of this and other Autoloc spreaders are the zinc thermal spray and paint, indicator flags, flipper guides, activator sling, and gearbox, all designed for the intermodal industry.

The thermal zinc spray used on Autoloc frames is the equivalent of galvanizing it, and the paint used is a high-quality two-part epoxy marine grade paint.

The N31000C-1PA Autoloc spreader has a simple and efficient mechanical operation that does not involve electronics or hydraulics. The semi-automatic mechanical nature of the Autoloc allows for single crane operator use. As the wire rope sling is slackened, the twist lock bayonets lock or unlock.

The indicator flags show when the bayonets are locked or unlocked. The flipper guides help line up the Autoloc spreader frame with the container corner fittings for ease of use. This allows fewer personnel on hand to handle the spreader and container.
