Tandemloc End Cap Spreader Beams & Frames allow you to build your own spreader beam designed to your exact specifications. Assemblies include stocked, proof-tested components for quick and easy assembly. If you’d prefer, you can cut and drill your own pipe. Optional accessories provide even more versatility.
Spreader beams, also known as crane spreader bars, are composed of a long bar with padeyes on both ends with top holes to attach to specific size shackles which rigging, whether it be wire rope, chain, or synthetic slings. Two additional holes are on the underside of the padeye for a bottom rigging that then attaches to the load itself. This configuration enables the top load slings to be under a compressive load that occurs during lifting. A lifting beam, by contrast, absorbs most of the stress directly through bending. A lifting beam usually requires less overhead clearance and rigging but can be quite a bit more expensive and heavier than a spreader beam, depending on the capacity.
The beauty of our end cap spreader beams and frames is the ability to build them on demand to meet your specific lifting needs. .
